A very quick blog to answer a question a number of colleagues have asked recently – how do I save pictures, videos and media coverage to my LinkedIn profile?

Here’s the answer.

LinkedIn allows you to share and save a variety of media such as videos, images, documents, links, and presentations on to your profile page. This acts as an online portfolio and is worth keeping up to date to demonstrate your expertise is relevant and in demand.

To do this access the media feature through the ‘edit’ button on your profile page (the little blue pencil to the top right) and scroll down to this section:

You can then add links to media coverage, or supporting web pages, upload presentations and pictures etc that then remain on your profile. Use this function on your Summary section, and in the Experience section to supplement information about the roles you’ve held. Have a look to see how I have used this to demonstrate media coverage.

Remember LinkedIn is a great shop window for you as an expert. Keeping your LinkedIn profile up to date, with engaging supplementary media will help you build profile and reputation – and grow your network.
